Grip blocking for LIFE on target!

The grip blocking work at Lake Vyrnwy is ahead of schedule!

The project aimed to have blocked 54km of grip at Lake Vyrnwy by the end of March 2009 and the 60km mark was reached on Thursday! The project's contractors have put in a fantastic effort to work in all weathers to create enough heather bales for the dams.

Over on the Forestry Commission land at Penaran a tremendous amount of work has also been undertaken. The fantastic distance of 100km of forestry drain have been blocked this winter.

Just shows what man and machine can accomplish.
