LIFE at the Royal Welsh Show 2010

The LIFE Project has just returned from spending a very busy and successful four days at the Royal Welsh Show. The Project ran the children’s educational activities on the RSPB Cymru stand in addition to displaying a range of materials and advisory leaflets. Over 200 children took part in the activities on offer, which included curlew mask making, badge making, a matching pair’s game and colouring in.

Members of staff were also on hand to talk to interested visitors. The ‘bog garden’, peat core and JCB robot were of particular interest, and gave visitors a clearer understanding of what a blanket bog is and the work the project has been undertaking to restore it at the Lake Vyrnwy and Penaran project sites.
