Bog-tastic

International Bog Day Festival was a tremendous success. Over 500 people came along to the Sculpture Park at Lake Vyrnwy to learn more about blanket bogs and to take part in all the activities on offer. The displays and activities were linked to the management of blanket bog and included a sheep shearing demonstration, a mini ‘bog garden’ and a display of the machinery used for blocking the ditches.

Children took part in face painting and badge making whilst all ages enjoyed the line dancing and choirs in the display tent, having a go at archery and watching
the chainsaw carver at work.

Thank you to all who took part and helped to make the day such a success.
